Is the E-Trader online transaction fee refundable if the application is rejected?

Short answer: Yes. On dubaieconomycenter.com both the AED 1,070 / 1,370 licence fee AND the online transaction fee are refunded in full if DET rejects the E-Trader application (including security-approval rejection). Only the bank / payment-gateway charge is non-refundable.

Key facts

  • Licence fee refund on DET rejection: 100%
  • Online transaction fee refund on DET rejection: 100%
  • Bank / payment-gateway fee: not refundable (deducted by the bank, not by us)
  • Applies to both new E-Trader applications and renewals
  • Most other DET service centers do NOT refund their service or transaction fee — this is a differentiator of dubaieconomycenter.com

Full explanation

Dubai Economy Center is operated by Goodhand Government Transaction Center, an Authorized DET service center. When an E-Trader application is rejected by DET — for any reason, including failure of the standard security approval — the customer is refunded the full government licence fee AND the online transaction fee paid on our site. The only amount not returned is the small percentage retained by the bank or payment gateway when the original card payment was settled, which the bank itself deducts and we never receive.
